Hero of Ukraine
The title Hero of Ukraine (Ukrainian Герой України ) is the highest award that can be awarded by the Ukrainian government. The title was introduced by President Leonid Kuchma in 1998 and is awarded for heroism or for high performance. Borys Paton won the 1998 first this item. Since then, he has been awarded 286 people.
