Hessian Ministry for Science and the Arts
The Hessian Ministry for Science and Art is a university and the Ministry of Culture of the State of Hesse.
History
The Hessian Ministry for Science and Art was hived off from the Hessian Ministry of Education on July 4, 1984. The Ministry of Culture was then in charge of education and a part of church affairs.
Since 1987, the Hessian Ministry for Science and Art in a rented, founder temporal neo-baroque office building between the Rhine Street and Luis Street is located in Wiesbaden, who served from 1905 to 1975 as the Wiesbaden main post office and was rebuilt and renovated then accordingly.
The Hessian Minister or the Minister for Science and the Arts awards, the Goethe Medal, the highest distinction of the Ministry at irregular intervals.
