Hibria

Hibria is a speed and power metal band from Porto Alegre, Brazil. At Remedy Records The band is under contract.

Band History

Hibria was built between 1996 and 1997. Having Abel Camargo and Marco Paninchi together formed a new band called Malthusian, the group around drummer Sávio Sordi, with the exception of the bass player in Malthusian been integrated. This was followed by line-up changes, what came in the end Diego Kasper joined the band and singers Iuri Sanson, whom they had met at a concert in 1996. With this line-up Hibria was founded.

Two months after the entry of Iuri Sanson in 1997 released their first demo Metal Heart. In August 1999, published Hibria the successor Against the Faceless. At the same time the band went on tour in Europe. At first only three confirmed appearances, 29 concerts were played among others in Germany, Belgium or the Czech Republic, on the Against The Faceless Demo Tour. According to an excerpt from an interview that can be found on the website of the band and had been made ​​for the Rock It Magazine!, Hibria traveled during this tour by train and with backpack.

2001 Single Steel Lord on Wheels appeared in the local environment of the band. 2003 and 2004, composed and took Hibria the songs for the debut album Defying the Rules on which was mixed with Piet Sielck in Germany and published via Remedy Records.

Style

Hibria are known for their technical skills and their speed. The style of Hibria is under the influence of numerous bands such as Iron Maiden, Metallica, Helloween, Judas Priest, Megadeth, Manowar and Dream Theater ( some pieces therefore have very strong progressive metal influences).
