Hideo Hiraoka

Hideo Hiraoka (Japanese平 冈 秀 夫, Hiraoka Hideo, born January 14, 1954 in Iwakuni, Yamaguchi Prefecture) is a Japanese politician of the Democratic Party, in which he leads a faction together with Shoichi Kondō that Hiraoka - Kondō group. He was until 2012 a deputy in Shūgiin, the lower house of the national parliament, for the 2nd constituency Yamaguchi and Minister of Justice.

Hiraoka graduated in 1976 graduated from the Law Faculty of the University of Tokyo and officer was then in the Ministry of Finance. In his official career, he worked among others in the Japanese Embassy in India, in Legislativbüro of the Cabinet and the national tax authorities, government agencies and offices of the Ministry of Finance, he held several department head positions. In June 2010, Hiraoka was the Cabinet Secretary Kan ( fukudaijin ) in the Cabinet Office, then in the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications.
