Hierocles (author of Synecdemus)
Hierocles ( ancient Greek Ἱεροκλῆς; Latin Hierocles Grammaticus ) was a Byzantine grammarian and geographer of the sixth century. He is known as author of the Synekdemos ( altgr. Συνέκδημος; Latin Synecdemus ), a collection of 64 Eparchieen of the Byzantine Empire under Justinian I. cities and 923 before 535 AD From the person of Hierocles is nothing known.
