High Hopes (Frank Sinatra song)

High Hopes is a song by Jimmy Van Heusen (music) and Sammy Cahn, which was published in 1959 and best known for Frank Sinatra.

Cahn / Van Heusen wrote the song for the Frank Capra film A size too big (Original Title: A Hole in the Head, 1959), in which he was presented by Frank Sinatra and the child actor Eddie Hodges. The song was on a 1960 Academy Award for Best Song.

A studio version with Hodges and a children's choir took Sinatra on May 8, 1959. This version appeared on the single CP- 4377 with the B-side All My Tomorrows by Sammy Cahn / Jimmy Van Heusen and on Capitol album All the Way and 1960 nominated for two Grammys. High Hopes came to the American Billboard charts on June 21, 1959 the song was a total of 17 weeks in the charts and ranked as the highest ranking # 30 Provided during the presidential election campaign in 1960, with a new text by Sammy Cahn, Sinatra sang the song in 1960 for John F. Kennedy; High Hopes was the campaign jingle for the Kennedy campaign.
