Highland Wildlife Park

The Highland Wildlife Park ( German: Highland Wildlife Park ) is located a few kilometers south of Aviemore in Scotland in the area of the Cairngorms National Park. It was opened in 1972 and is run in conjunction with the Edinburgh Zoo from the Royal Zoological Society of Scotland.

The Game Park is primarily European wildlife species, such as European forest reindeer (R. t. Fennicus ), red deer, bison, elk, wolves, lynx and beaver. In addition, some rare species of northern Asia occur as Siberian tigers, polar bear, Bucharahirsch, Kiang, Przewalski's horse, Blue Sheep, Markhor, Mischmi takin, Chinese Goral, Macaque, Red panda, domestic yak and camel.
