Geography
Samtgemeinde outline
The integrated municipality was composed of the five member communities Düdenbüttel, Engelschoff, Großenwörden, Hammah and pearly gates.
History
The Samtgemeinde Himmelspforten was formed 1 July 1972 from the communities mentioned above.
On 1 January 2014, it merged with the integrated municipality Oldendorf for new Samtgemeinde Oldendorf - gates of heaven.

Samtgemeinde Mayor
Last Samtgemeinde mayor was until 31 December 2013, the non-party Holger Falcke. He was a key proponent of the merger of the two joint communities Oldendorf and pearly gates.
Coat of arms
Blazon: " divided by blue and green by a lowered ( lowered ) silver shaft bar; above a five-door golden gate. "
The flag is blue - yellow - blue ( 1:3:1 ) striped and centrally occupied with the arms of the velvet municipality.
