Hind Dehiba

Hind Dehiba Chahyd (born Chahyd; born March 17, 1979 in Khouribga ) is a French middle distance runner of Moroccan origin who specializes in the 1,500 -meter run.

Career

In 2002 she went to France, where she met her future husband and coach Fodil Dehiba. The two were married the following year. On July 21, 2004, she received French citizenship, which allowed her to start shortly at the Olympic Games in Athens for France. There, however, she was disqualified in the 1500 meter race already made ​​after the heats.

In 2005 she won the bronze medal over 1500 meters at the European Indoor Athletics Championships in Madrid. In the same year they improved in Rieti the French outdoor record over this distance to 4:00,49 min. In 2006, she occupied at the World Indoor Championships in Moscow fourth in French indoor record of 4:05,67 min. At the European Athletics Championships in Gothenburg in 2006 she finished ninth.
