Hisham Bastawisy

Hisham Mohamed Osman Bastawisi (Arabic هشام البسطويسي, DMG Hisham al - Bastawisi; * May 23, 1951 in Cairo, Egypt, UK ) is an Egyptian judge and vice president of the Egyptian Court of Cassation.

He studied at the University of Cairo. Bastawisi was one of the opposition leaders before and during the revolution in Egypt in 2011. He entered as a candidate of the Tagammu party at the Egyptian presidential election of 2012, but only received 29,189 votes, and thus a share of the vote of 0.13 %.

He is married to Olfat Salah.
