Hispar

The village Hispar is located in Karakoram Range in the autonomous region of Gilgit- Baltistan in Pakistan. The location of Karimabad is about one hour away.

Hispar is close to the glacier snout of the glacier named after him Hispar and uses its water as a drinking water source. The Yengutz -Har glacier, which flows near Hispar in the valley is not far above the village. The fields around the village are terraced and supported by stone walls. The agricultural fields are irrigated by the abundant waters of the Hispar River.

The village consists of a few houses. There is a way there, which is navigable by four wheel drive vehicles. In 2006 the bridge was flushed below the village and the road through the Hispar river of time. This was the place for months not accessible by vehicles.

Hispar is frequently visited by tourists trekking, walking on the glacier over the Hispar Hispar Pass to Askole.
