Hispidoberyx ambagiosus

Hispidoberyx ambagiosus is a small village known only by five copies of deep-sea fish from the order of mucus -like head ( Beryciformes ).

Dissemination and lifestyle

It has been found in the northeastern Indian Ocean in Sumatra and Java, as well as in the South China Sea and south of New Caledonia at depths of 560-1020 meters. Hispidoberyx ambagiosus probably pelagic just above the seabed and feeds on crustaceans.

Features

The fish has spiny scales, a long, thick thorn along the operculum and is 18 inches long. Along the sidelines, there are 32 to 34 scales, the vortex number is 34 Palatine bone ( palatine ) and vomer ( vomer ) bear teeth.
