Hnúšťa

Hnúšťa ( German very rare Nusten, Hungarian Nyustya ) is a city in Banskobystrický kraj in southern Slovakia.

The place consists of 5 parts:

  • Likier
  • Polom (1971 incorporated )

History

The town was first mentioned in writing in 1334, was until 1918 the county Gemer and small Hont the Kingdom of Hungary and then came to the newly formed Czechoslovakia. From 1960-1971 he was united with the neighboring Likier to the municipality Hnúšťa - Likier. In the year of the merger and the city charter was granted.
