Hobsons Bay

Hobsons Bay is a bay off the Australian city of Melbourne. It is part of Port Phillip and was probably after William Hobson, an explorer and first governor of the British colony of New Zealand, named who created the first map of the bay in 1836.

She is also the namesake of the county ( Local Government Area ) Hobsons Bay City.
