Hochrappenkopf

The high Rappenkopf is a 2,425 m high mountain in the Allgäu Alps.

Location

It is located south-southwest of Rappensee. To the east is the Rappenseekopf ( 2469 m) and in the south west of the beaver head ( 2599 m). To the north, a ridge leads over to the little black horse head ( 2276 m).

Ascent

On the high Rappenkopf a marked path leads. It can be climbed easily by way of the Rappenseehütte to the beaver head. The northwest ridge is a moderate climb (III ) in partially brittle rock and is committed very rare.
