Hohenschwangau

Hohenschwangau is a district of Schwangau.

It lies between the castles of Neuschwanstein and Hohenschwangau and is visited annually by about two million people who visited from here and the royal palaces. Parking, catering, inns, hotel operations and souvenir shops dominate the townscape accordingly.

Hohenschwangau is bounded on the south by the Alpsee.

On the northern outskirts of the village there is a state boarding school: The state high school students with home Hohenschwangau.

At the community link road towards Schwangau lies the property Bullachberg Castle.
