Holando-Argentino

The Dutch - Argentine beef (Spanish: Holando - Argentino ) is a breed of cattle from Argentina, which is derived from the Holstein-Friesian cattle lowlands.

1880 Black Pied Lowland cattle from the Netherlands were exported to the fertile regions of the Pampas. Since they are grown there as a dual-purpose breed for meat and milk.

Today you can find Dutch - Argentine cattle in the Argentine provinces of Buenos Aires, Santa Fe Province, Córdoba and Entre Ríos, but also in the river valleys in Salta, Tucumán, Formosa, Catamarca and Mendoza. Also in the neighboring countries they were exported. They are retained mainly for the milk production.

The " breeders' association for the Dutch - Argentine beef " ( Asociación de Criadores Holando - Argentino ( ' AHP ')) was founded in 1944 and is the breeding goals for the race before.
