Holger Aden

Holger Aden ( born August 25, 1965 in Hamburg ) is a former German football player and football coach. He became known in the 1992/93 season, when he scored the most goals in the German professional league with 28 league goals, but due to a change between the two leagues was top scorer neither in the first nor in the second Bundesliga.

Career

Aden began his career in higher-class football in the Oberliga Nord, where he was able to achieve 54 Goals for SC Concordia Hamburg, Altona 93 and 1 SC Norderstedt between 1985 and 1989. With the recommendation of 22 matches from the season 1988/89 Aden moved in the summer of 1989, Bayer 04 Leverkusen, where he arrived in August 1989 to two brief appearances in the Bundesliga. However, Aden could not prevail. During the winter break 1989/90 Aden therefore went to the second division Eintracht Braunschweig. There was an immediate success, a; during the first two and a half seasons in Braunschweig Aden could score a goal on average in almost every other game. In autumn 1992, Aden then had an outstanding run; in the first 22 games before the winter break of the second division season 1992/93 reach him 19 goals. VfL Bochum was the same in the first division in a critical situation, in the first round it was achieved with only 18 goals Last of the table. The Wolves broke Aden from out of his contract with the harmony and brought him to Bochum. Aden has achieved nine Erstligatreffer in the remaining matchdays of the season, but rose Bochum still with only one point back from. In the second division the following season Aden has been affected by frequent injuries and therefore came only a few uses. After Bochum direct resurgence in 1994 Aden was restored to health, but he injured his fifth game against SC Freiburg on a successful shot, the left cruciate ligament. From this injury he never was able to relax, which means Aden finished at the end of the 1995/96 season without further use in Bochum's first team his career.

Aden trained around the turn of the millennium the Bochum district division side Union Günnigfeld and was also named after him, the operator of a football school, but in 2004 their operation was established. In the season 2002/ 03 was followed by a brief return on the playing field, as Holger Aden, as well as his previous professional colleagues Peter Közle and Torsten Wohlert, from ambitious Association division club SV Straelen committed. Until November 2, 2009, he coached the country's division forward Kornharpen, but he left due to differences with the club committee.

Aden is still playing regularly for the tradition of the team VfL Bochum as a striker.

Since January 13, 2013 he was coach of the Oberliga SV Schermbeck, but left the end of August at his own request the club.
