Reception

Daniel Böhm wrote for Rock Hard, according to the " high quality hard rock delicacies Native Tongue and Crack A Smile" make yourself at Poison " again something like musical arbitrariness wide. " Hollyweird was " far from achieving the musical depth of the two previous albums " - and this was" only partly due to the fact that instead of the two mega - guitarist Richie Kotzen and Blues Saraceno again little rounder CC DeVille over the stage " rocke. The album could be " almost as a step backwards to 1986 describe " - actually remembered " slippery feel-good rockers like Wish Full Thinkin or shooting star striking to Open Up and Say ... Ahh! Look What the Cat Dragged and In ". But, " like all the other tracks on the disc also, a more abundant production " may have tolerated - The three songs sung by DeVille sounded "like his better material rightfully flopped pop mini- punk-rock project Samantha 7" and provided for a change. Hollyweird is " recommended in view of the drastic drop in substance compared to the previous two biscuits limited for innocent ears, for fans of the band but still an enjoyable experience. "
