Open Up and Say ... Ahh! is the title of the second studio album released in 1988 by the U.S. glam metal band Poison. It was the first in Europe successful album of the group and in the U.S. is the most successful album ever, the band released there: It reached number two on the Billboard album charts. With the title Your Mama Do not Dance it contains the cover version of a Top Ten hits of the singer-songwriter duo Loggins and Messina in 1972. Background

The follow-up album was recorded in winter 1988/1989 in Conway Recording Studios in Los Angeles. Originally, Paul Stanley ( lead singer and guitarist of Kiss take over production, but had to decline. Instead his Tom Werman was committed, who had already worked with Ted Nugent, Cheap Trick, Twisted Sister and Mötley Crüe. The album was May 3, 1988 published, the first single from the was the title Nothin 'But a Good Time.
