Homert

The Homert from southwest

The Homert is with 656.1 meters above sea level. NN is the highest mountain in the Sauerland Lenne Mountains in the Upper Sauerland district, North Rhine -Westphalia ( Germany ). She is also the highest mountain and namesake of the Homert and the highest mountain of the southeastern part Homert (also called The Homert or Homertrücken ).

Geographical location

The Homert rises in the southwest part of the Hochsauerlandkreises approximately in the center of the triangle from the local district Sundern Meinkenbracht and Esloher Obersalwey districts in south-southwest and Niedersalwey in the southeast. On the northern flank of the Homert stems from the Seilbach and slightly north-west the Romecke, both tributaries of the Linnepe. Through the valley south of the wooded mountain of Wenne inflow Salwey runs.

Transport links

South and West leads the provincial road 519 at the Homert past that connects the villages Niedersalwey about Obersalwey with Meinkenbracht and from which one can get along forest trails to the summit. After the Mount of Homertweg is named, does not lead though about him, but, for example, the mountainous part of the same happening in the northeast Wennetal.
