Honoré IV, Prince of Monaco

Honoré IV of Monaco (* May 17, 1758, † February 16, 1819 ) was from 1814 until his death reigning prince of Monaco.

Honoré was the elder son of Prince Honoré III. and his wife Marie Catherine de Brignole Sale. He was married to Louise since 1777 d' Aumont Mazarin, Duchess of Mazarin ( 1759-1829 ) and had with this two sons, one after ruling Prince Honoré V and Florestan. According to the French annexation resolution 1793, he was detained partly under harsh material conditions in a prison in Paris, before he got the best of health with the restoration of 1814, the opportunity to act as his father's heir rule over Monaco.
