Horacio Ferrer

Horacio Ferrer ( born June 2, 1933, Montevideo, Uruguay ) is a Uruguayan poet, lyric poet, reciter, librettist, journalist, writer and tango historian. A long collaboration with "Tango King" Astor Piazzolla and an extensive work will make it to the major figures of the tango in the second half of the twentieth century.

Life

Horacio Ferrer came from an artistic interest, middle-class family from Montevideo. Even as a child he wrote poetry, puppet plays and milongas, he not infrequently aufführte itself and einsang. The visits to a living in Buenos Aires uncle awoke his interest in tango. At the beginning of the 1950s, first texts written for tango, but he is still not known. While studying architecture, he began radio broadcasts in which tangos were performed, which also included his lyrics, with the title " Seleccion de tango ". María de Buenos Aires
