Horcas

HORCAS is an Argentine thrash metal band from Buenos Aires, which was founded in 1986.

History

The band was formed in 1986 by guitarist Osvaldo Civile, who had previously worked with the band V8. A short time later completed bassist Marcelo Dogo, singer Hugo Benítez and drummer Gabriel Ganzo the occupation. The members of the band changed several times over the following years. So bassist Eddie Walker left the band to join the group Lethal. In return came Claudio "Yankee " Ortiz, guitarist of Lethal, the band. However, this left a short time later the band. In 1990, the band released their debut album Reinará la Tempestad. In 1992 the second album Oid Mortales el Grito Sangrado.

In 1995 joined singer Christian Bertoncelli, previously singer for Imperio and Renacer, the band. In 1997, he was replaced by singer Walter Meza, before any of these Jeriko, Decay and Samurai active. The band then appeared on the cover of the magazine Epopeya. As title picture Oscar Civile sought out a motif in which he played with the Grim Reaper at a table cards.

In 1999, founding member Civile committed suicide. The band decided Gegene resolution, replaced Civile by another guitarist and released the album Eternos towards the end of the same year. In 2002, the next, self-titled album was released.

Followed in 2003 with Vive! their first live album, which in 2004 was followed the next studio album called Demencial. Two more albums called Asesino and Reviviendo Huestes followed in the years 2006 and 2008. Another live album called La maldicion continua appeared in 2010.

Style

A characteristic feature is the use of double bass, and by quickly mock, varied guitar playing. The lyrics are continuously Spanish, the song has a harsh sound.
