Hossam Hassan

Hossam Hassan (Arabic: حسام حسن, DMG Husam Ḥasan, born August 10, 1966 in Helwan ) is a former Egyptian football player and current coach. He was capped player of his country and Africa, to Ahmed Hassan stopped his record of 169 international matches in the semifinals of the African Cup of Nations 2010 against Cameroon. He is also the player who scored the most goals for his national team.

On 8 June 1997, he succeeded against Tunisia as the first Africans the 100th. On October 8, 2000 at Friendlies Egyptian national football team against Sudan Hassan played his 150th match for Egypt.

According to the Africa Cup of 2006, he was with 169 international matches the number 3 of the record - International behind Mohammad al- As ʿ ʿ ayya and Claudio Suárez.

With 69 goals scored, he is number 6 of scorers.

His twin brother Ibrahim denied 125 caps for Egypt.
