Hossein Vafaei

Hossein Vafaei Ayouri (born 14 September 1994 Abadan ) is an Iranian snooker player.

Career

He participated in the Asian Games 2010 in Guangzhou and some reached the first knockout round. In the Under-21 Continental Championship of the Asian Snooker Association ACBS in April 2011 he reached the final and defeated Cao Yupeng there with 3:7. Thus, he failed to qualify for the Snooker Main Tour for the time being.

Through a wildcard, he nevertheless took place during the 2011/12 season at the Shanghai Masters 2011 and the Haikou World Open 2012 part, but lost in his opening match against Fergal O'Brien and Mark King.

In December 2011 he won at the IBSF World Amateur Championship. Its 10:9 - final win over Lee Walker secured him a place for the 2012/13 snooker season. At the same time he is 17 years and 81 days, the youngest title winner of this tournament. He also won in early 2012, the ACBS U21 Asia Championship, which he would also receive a ticket for the professional tour.
