Hot Boyz is an American film drama directed by Master P from the year 1999.
Action
The film begins with a car chase in a harbor area, where the African American Kool flees in his car in front of police cars. His car falls into the water. At that moment, his voice-over says that the film would show how he'd made the gangsters. It will be shown in a flashback six months old events.
Kool has no good education; he dreams of becoming a successful rapper. His girlfriend LaShawna struggles against her own mother to be with Kool.
LaShawna takes on the main street of a badly injured policeman who dies in her arms. She is suspected and arrested fact. Kool agrees to be an informant of the police investigator Tully so LaShawna is released. He collects information which tax the drug dealers Saint - until he learns that Saint cooperates with one of the policemen.
Kool and his friends found the transition Hot Boyz. Kool is betrayed and arrested.
Reviews
Ryan Cracknell wrote in Apollo Movie Guide, it was a " sad sign " that movies like this were made. The film lacks not only the entertainment value, it proves nothing either still have something meaningful to say about the world. The film was a big step back for the genre of the urban gangs display movies. The screenplay leg hold numerous clichés and stereotypes. The critics scoffed at the end of the text carried in the movie clothing and asked to try Master P, something other than filmmaking.
The magazine TV directly 15/2007 wrote that the people shown in the film would let the audience " pretty cold."
