Hotel Kazakhstan

The Hotel Kazakhstan (Russian Гостиница " Казахстан " Kazakh қонақүй « Қазақстан » ) is a skyscraper in the Kazakh city Almaty.

In the 129.8 -meter-high building, a four -star hotel is housed. The building was opened in 1978 and has 26 floors.

On 17 February 2006, the Hotel Kazakhstan was passed after an auction of government ownership to private ownership.

The Hotel Kazakhstan is pictured on the 5,000 tenge banknote in the new series of banknotes of Kazakhstan.
