Howard E. Campbell

Howard Edmond Campbell ( born January 4, 1890 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, † January 6, 1971 ) was an American politician. Between 1945 and 1947 he represented the State of Pennsylvania in the U.S. House of Representatives.

Career

Howard Campbell attended the common schools and studied at the University of Pittsburgh after. Later he worked in Pittsburgh in the real estate and insurance business. Between 1943 and 1944 he headed the Real Estate Committee (Real Estate Board ) in Pittsburgh. Politically, he was a member of the Republican Party. In the congressional elections of 1944, he was the 29th electoral district of Pennsylvania in the U.S. House of Representatives in Washington DC chosen, where he became the successor of Robert L. Rodgers on January 3, 1945.

Since Campbell renounced in 1946 to another candidacy, he was able to complete only one term in Congress until January 3, 1947. During this time, ended the Second World War. After his time in the U.S. House of Representatives, he worked again in the real estate industry. In the years 1954 and 1955 he headed the Chamber of Commerce in East Liberty. He died on January 6, 1971 in Pittsburgh, where he was also buried.
