Howard Siler

Howard Banford Siler ( born June 18, 1945 in Newport News, Virginia ) is a retired American Bobsportler.

Siler was in his active career nine times American champion. He also won at the Bob World Championships 1969 in Lake Placid bronze in four-man bobsleigh. In his first Olympic Winter Games in 1972 in Sapporo, Japan, he could reach the 16th place in the two-man bob. Eight years later in Lake Placid, he was able to improve to fifth place; in the four-man event, it was enough for 13th place

After ending his playing career Siler worked as an insurance agent. Later he worked as a coach for the Jamaican bobsled team, which took first time in 1988 at the Winter Olympics.
