Literature and Film
The role of Billy Slim in Nevil Shute novel The Far Country (after the film of the same name ( German title: was filmed About the Death Pass) ) is based on the figure of the fly fisherman Fred Fry, who built several huts along the Howqua River and a quiet life resulted in the river valley.
