Huaraz Province

Huaraz is one of the 20 Peruvian provinces which form the Ancash region. The provincial capital is the city of Huaraz. The province is bordered on the north by the Yungay province and the province Carhuaz, on the east by the provinces of Huari and Aija, and to the west by the provinces of Casma and huarmey.

In the 2007 census, 147,463 inhabitants were counted in the province of Huaraz.
