Hubert Lampo

Hubert Lampo ( born September 1, 1920 in Antwerp, † July 12, 2006 in Essen ) was a Flemish writer.

Lampo was, together with Johan Daisne of the main representatives of Magical Realism in Belgium, the Flemish literary scene was strongly influenced.

In addition to his own literary work Lampo has also written works as a journalist and literary critic, by which he was known in Belgium. He has won numerous awards, including the three years issued Belgian State Prize for Literature.
