Hugh Gilbert

Edward Hugh Gilbert OSB ( born March 15, 1952 in Emsworth, Hampshire; civil Edward Gilbert ) is the Bishop of Aberdeen.

Life

Edward Gilbert converted from the Anglican Church to the Roman Catholic Church on December 24, 1970, joined the Scottish Benedictine Pluscarden the Congregation of the Benedictine monks of the monastery entrance in, took the monastic name Hugh, put his solemn profession on 10 March 1979, the Bishop of Aberdeen, Mario Joseph Conti, ordained him a priest on 29 June 1982.
