Hugh John Lofting (born 14 January 1886 in Maidenhead, Berkshire, England; † September 26, 1947 in Topanga, California, USA ) was an English writer, who with his stories about Doctor Dolittle who speaks the languages ​​of the animals, the classic literature authored.

Life

Lofting was one of six children of his father John Brien Lofting and its coming from Ireland Mother Elizabeth Agnes Gannon.
