Hugo René Rodríguez

Hugo René Rodríguez Corona ( born March 14, 1959 in Torreón, Coahuila ) is a former Mexican football player who was occasionally used mostly in the midfield and attack.

Association

Rodríguez began his professional career in the 1975/76 season with his hometown club CF Laguna, where he remained until his retirement from professional football at the end of the season 1977/78. The club had sold its Erstligalizenz at Deportivo Neza and Rodríguez played with this club in its first Erstligasaison 1978/79, before switching to CF La Piedad and again a year later to the club Atletas campesinos. Only with Deportivo Toluca he found an employer for whom he was under contract for several years.

National

Born Lagunero came in two games of the Mexican national team against El Salvador ( 5-1 ) on February 15, 1978, Bulgaria ( 3-0) on 4 April 1978 deployment. He also belonged to the Mexican World Cup squad in 1978, had to be there but with the role of reservists content.
