Hyesan

Hyesan is a city in North Korea with 97 794 inhabitants, situated at the border Yalu River to the People's Republic of China. It is an industrial city, cultural center with universities, theaters, museums and transport hubs (road, railway and airport ). Hyesan is the capital of the province Ryanggang -do.

Climate

1915 -42 degrees Celsius were measured in Hyesan. This was the most lowest recorded temperature on the Korean peninsula.
