Hyongjesan-guyok
Hyŏngjesan - guyŏk is one of the 18 districts of Pyongyang, the capital of North Korea. It is located north of downtown and is bordered to the north by the district Sunan - guyŏk and on the east by Ryongsong - guyŏk. To the south are the districts Pot'onggang - guyŏk and Mangyongdae - guyŏk, southeast Sŏsŏng - guyŏk. In the south of the district lies the mountain JESAN.
Hyŏngjesan - guyŏk was established in October 1960 with several hitherto County Taedong -gun related administrative units as a municipality.
Buildings and Facilities
In the district Sangdang -dong are located on an area of about one square kilometer Founded in 1947, the Korean Film Studio with mock street scenes of different countries.
In the place Haksan -ri is a cemetery for the soldiers of North Korea and the People's Republic of China, which came in the Korean War killed, with a separate area for members of the Chinese People's Volunteer Army.
Natural Monuments
The " Fold valley of western Pyongyang " in the district Chungdang -ri is listed with the order number 23 among the natural monuments of North Korea.
Administrative divisions
Hyŏngjesan - guyŏk in 15 administrative units divided Dongs. The district Hadang - dong turn into two, the districts Singan -dong -dong and Sopo divided into three administrative units.
