Hyung Jin Moon

Moon Hyung -jin ( born September 26, 1979 in Tarrytown, New York) is the most recent (seventh ) son of Moon Sun - myung and Han Hak -ja. He is president of the Unification Church.

Curriculum vitae

Moon studied philosophy and religion at Harvard University and Harvard Divinity School. He dealt inter alia with the Tibetan Buddhism.

Since April 2008, Moon is the international president of the Family Federation for World Peace and was instructed by his father with the continuation of his work.

Moon is considered to be an important person in the mediation between North and South Korea. In December 2011, he traveled twice to North Korea to visit the hometowns of his parents and relevant places for the Unification Church as well as for attending the funeral of Kim Jong- il, in which he took part in his father's name. In September 2012, Moon was invited to Pyongyang to accept condolences for his deceased father. In this context, gave Kim Jong- Chang Sung- taek us Uncle Moon Hyung -jin and his father, the "National Unification price ".

Moon lives in Seoul, South Korea. He is married to Lee Yeon- on and has 5 children.
