Ian Murray (footballer)

Ian William Murray ( born March 20, 1981 in Edinburgh, Scotland) is a Scottish football player in the service of Hibernian. Murray is very versatile and has therefore been used in the course of his career at several positions. In most cases, the Scot still plays in central defense or as a defensive midfielder.

Career

Clubs

In 1999, he joined the first team of his home club Hibernian. The following year, he was loaned to Alloa Athletic and in 2001 returned back to Hibernian. In the season 2004/ 05 he was appointed captain and practiced from this office, before moving to one of the two strongest clubs in the Scottish League, Glasgow Rangers in 2005.
