Ibare River

BW

The Río Ibaré is a right tributary of the Río Mamoré, in the Bolivian Moxos level, in the department of Beni.

Course

The Ibaré rises at an altitude of 195 m fifty kilometers south-southwest of the center city Ascención de Guarayos, which lies on the highway Ruta 9. It flows in countless meanders to the first 500 kilometers in a north-westerly direction, on the last almost one hundred kilometers, largely in the north. After a total of 592 kilometers it empties into the Río Mamoré twenty kilometers northwest of the city of Trinidad.

In its course the Río Ibaré is crossed only at two locations of bridges, from the highway Ruta 3 in Puerto Almacén near Trinidad, and of a country road between the towns of Villa Alba and Loreto.
