İbrahim Akın
İbrahim Akın ( born June 4, 1984 in Izmir) is a Turkish football player.
Career
Club career
İbrahim Akın played in his youth for his local club Altay Izmir. At the end of the season 2001/ 02 he came into the first team and completed two games. He rose with Altay Izmir on in the Süper Lig. From the season 2002/ 03 he was a regular player, but increased after only one season with Altay again. In the 2003 /04 season played Akın a very good season. In 30 games succeeded the attacking midfielder to reach 18 goals. He confirmed his talent that many experts saw him.
The clubs from the top half of the table immediately showed interest in the young midfielder. İbrahim Akın opted for Beşiktaş Istanbul. Under the leadership of Vicente del Bosque, Riza and Jean Tigana İbrahim Akın Çalımbay belonged to the tribe squad. During this time he was twice Turkish Football Cup winners. In Ertuğrul Sağlam Akın was only a reserve player.
Therefore, he decided in the winter break of the 2007/08 season to a club change. His new club was the league's rookie Istanbul Büyükşehir Belediyespor. He immediately became a regular player and was henceforth an important player in the midfield. A moderate success, he managed with his club in the season 2010/11. Istanbul BB managed in the season the way into the Turkish Cup final. He scored a goal from the penalty spot and prepared the second goal before. Nevertheless, the team lost the final against Beşiktaş Istanbul on penalties. His contract at Istanbul BB was terminated at the end of the season 2010/11 with immediate effect. The reason for this decision of the club was that Akin's name is involved in the course of manipulation scandal. Akın is alleged to have that cup final 2010/11 sold for $ 150,000 and a racehorse.
Between 14 July 2011 and 12 December 2011, İbrahim Akın was in custody because he is accused of being involved in the match-fixing scandal of 2011.
In summer 2012, he moved to first division side Gaziantepspor. Since he had received a match suspension because of match-fixing, he could not be used here for a long time. It was only in October 2013, was in a cup match his debut for Gaziantepspor.
National
Akın made his international debut for Turkey on 8 October 2005 in the 2-1 against Germany. He finally arrived in the 83rd minute for Nihat Kahveci into the game and got to play 10 minutes.
