Jean Amadou Tigana ( born June 23, 1955 in Bamako, Mali ) is a retired French footballer and current coach. He was most recently head coach of Shanghai Shenhua Liansheng FC.

His most successful period as a player experienced Tigana at Girondins Bordeaux and the early 1980s with the French national team. The technically extremely fogged and running strong midfielder has been called " man with three lungs ".

Club career

Since the age of three grew up in Marseille, he began his playing career at the amateur club Club of Caillols ( where later Éric Cantona playing football learned ); at 20 he got his first professional contract with SC Toulon ( 1975-1978 ).
