Idalina Mesquita Borges ( born July 2, 1976 in Rio de Janeiro ) is a former Brazilian Handball.

Idalina Mesquita Borges played from 1991, the Brazilian club Clube Esportivo Maua. In 2006, the right-handed joined the German Bundesliga club HC Leipzig, with whom she won the championship in 2007 and 2008. Subsequently, the winger moved to the Austrian club Hypo Niederösterreich Austria. With Hypo she won the championship in 2009 and 2010 respectively and the ÖHB Cup. In 2010, she returned to the German Bundesliga, where they stood by the Thüringer HC under contract. With the THC Mesquita Borges celebrated winning the championship in 2011 and the DHB Cup. After winning the championship in 2012, she ended her career. Then Idalina Mesquita Borges returned to Brazil, where she has worked as a sports teacher in Rio de Janeiro.

Idalina Mesquita Borges played more than 200 matches for the Brazilian national team. With the Brazilian selection, she won the Pan Games 1999 Pan Games 2003 Pan Games 2007. Moreover, she participated in the 2000 Olympic Games, 2004 Olympic Games and 2008 Olympic Games in part.
