Idrissa Ouedraogo

Idrissa Ouedraogo ( born January 21, 1954 in Banfora, Upper Volta, now Burkina Faso) is a film maker from the West African nation of Burkina Faso.

He was educated in Ouagadougou, Paris and Kiev. After obtaining a diploma at the Institute africain d' études cinématographiques in Ouagadougou, he worked from 1981 to several short films, including Poko, which won the first prize at the Pan African Film Festival FESPACO. In 1986 he directed his first feature film Yaam Dabo, the 1988 and 1990 Yaaba Tilai followed, in 1990, received the Grand Jury Prize at the Cannes Film Festival.

In 2002, he took with an episode in the film 11'09 "01 - September 11 in part.

Ouedraogo also produced the television series Kadi Jolie, who has also been shown on French television.
