IECEE/CEE
IECEE is a standardization body of the International Electrotechnical Commission ( IEC) International Commission on the Rules for the Approval of Electrical Equipment. The IEC uses the name of the IECEE, the IEC System for Conformity Testing and Certification for Electrotechnical Equipment and Components of ( IEC system for conformity assessment systems of electrical equipment and components) better known as the CB system
The IECEE CB system based in Geneva, is the same as the old CEE - CB system that created the CEE standards (eg CEE System). The CEE was a European standardization body founded under the name Commission internationale de réglementation en vue de l' approbation de l' équipe électrique / International Commission on Rules for the Assessment of electrotechnical products A CEE standard describes as Conformité de l' équipe électrique / certification Electrotechnical devices. Historically, this certification is based on an initiative of the German VDE ( Association for Electrical, Electronic & Information Technologies ) of 1929.
CB Scheme
The IEC CB Scheme is a multilateral agreement that manufacturers of electrical and electronic products facilitates market access.
The origin of the CB Scheme comes from the CEE ( Former European " Commission for Conformity Testing of Electrical Equipment" ) and was incorporated in 1985 in the IEC. Currently, 52 Member Bodies in the IECEE, 65 NCBs ( National Certification Bodies ) and 276 CB testing laboratories ( CBTL ). In the area of product certification, this method is used to take manufacturers of products that are tested and certified in accordance with harmonized standards, the complexity in the approval process. A product that was developed by a CBTL ( certified testing laboratory ) tested under a harmonized standard and received a CB Report, has this as a basis for future national certification and accreditation, such as GS, PSE, CCC, NOM, GOST / R BSMI. In Germany there are a variety of providers and laboratories that are accredited as NCB and CBTL in the CB Scheme.
