IFK Timrå

IFK Timrå is a Swedish football club. The Sports Federation Idrottsföreningen Kamraterna belonging Club originated as a splinter group of the football department of Timrå IK. The predecessor clubs of today unterklassig antretenden clubs were represented several seasons in the second highest Swedish league.

History

The roots of the club go back to May 11 1928, when the oldest predecessor founded under the name Wifstavarvs IK. Shortly afterwards came the Östrands IF. Both clubs joined together in 1942 to Wifsta / Östrands IF. While developed the Hockey Department in the 1950s to a Erstligamannschaft, the football department moved analogous to local rivals Fagerviks GF in the vicinity of the higher-class sport. During this 1958 rose to the second division, Wifsta / Östrands IF followed a year later. For both teams stay lasted in the second highest Swedish league one season before both established in the mid- league portion of the third league.

In the early 1960s, the two local rivals joined forces to Wifsta / Ostrand - Fagerviks IF that held in the following seasons in the third division. In 1966, the merger club was a new name and entered from then on as Timrå IK. Under the new name the team moved up in the front area and pulled League Season 1970 as winner of Division 3 Södra Norrland Övre in the rise of games to the second league. There she met on soil BK, cubic Helsingborgs IF and Gimonäs CK. With one win, one draw and one defeat they rose to second in the group.

As with previous clubs in the second division stay lasted one season. With three wins this season, the club finished the season with six plus points knocked off as Table and rose together with Ljusdals IF, Sandåkerns SK, Lycksele IF and BK Mitaufsteiger soil again. In 1978, the club broke into its individual departments, an independent football club was established under the name IFK Timrå. This came in the early 1980s in the relegation battle, and rose in 1984 from Fünftklassigkeit. After several years in the lowlands of the Swedish amateur football succeeded in 1998 to return to the fourth division in which the team in its first season, dominated the season and brought about the walkover into the third league. The immediate re- descent as Table but followed the rise -time with 16 wins in 22 games this season. This time held the team to achieve in 2004 as a squadron of the Second Division 2 Norrland behind Umeå FC the best result in recent club history. As Table ninth in the subsequent season, the club was the victim of a league reform and now fourth division Division 2 Norrland was assigned.

As relegated IFK Timrå dominated the fourth division season and increased with 19 wins from 22 games and eleven points ahead of runners-up IFK Luleå on to Division 1. Here, the team managed just one win of the season with twenty points behind the last non relegation zone occupied by Valsta Syrianska IK, the club got off together with Skiljebo SK. Again followed by a crash and the team was put through to the Fünftklassigkeit.
