IIHF European Women's Champions Cup

The IIHF European Women Champions Cup (short EWCC ) of the International Ice Hockey Federation IIHF Ice Hockey is a competition for European club teams and women - is unofficially also " European Cup champions in women's hockey " means. The competition was held for the first time in 2004.

The tournament corresponds in meaning of the Champions Hockey League, where the best European club team of men to be found, but it looks similar to the rules of competition rather the IIHF Continental Cup. The teams in preliminary tournaments for a place in the final tournament. The Cup winners in the first four seasons, the Swedish team AIK Solna was each. As recently as 2009 they were replaced by Russian representatives SKIF Nizhny Novgorod.
