The Iisvesi is a lake in the Finnish countryside Savo.

The Iisvesi is an approximately 30 km long elongated lake with an area of about 71 km ². It lies at an altitude of 97.9 m. The north-eastern lakes Rasvanki and Virmasvesi are separated by long isthmuses and islands from Iisvesi and flow into him. Together with the two lakes of Iisvesi constitutes a system of lakes with a total area of ​​164.5 km ².

In the south end of the Iisvesi the outflow of Suontienselkä opens. About three kilometers south of the Iisvesi is the place Suonenjoki. Southwest is the lake Niinivesi, which is also separated over long isthmuses from Iisvesi, and in which the water flows out of the Iisvesi.

The water of the Iisvesi flows out through a series of lakes Konnevesi and Päijänne. Thus, the Iisvesi situated in the basin of the Kymi River.
