Ildikó Mincza-Nébald

Ildikó Mincza - Nébald (* as Ildikó Mincza; November 6, 1969 in Budapest) is a Hungarian fencer and world champion.

She is married to the Hungarian saber fencer and Olympic champion György Nébald.

Ildikó Mincza - Nébald heard since the mid-1990s the world elite in their sport. In 1991 she was team European champion in Vienna. With the team, she won the bronze medal at the World Championships in 1994 in Athens. At that time they still went on, however, with the foil. Mid-1990s, they switched over to the sword and was in 1997 in Gdansk Single European champion with this weapon. Their most successful World Cup was in 1999 in Seoul. There she won a bronze medal in the individual competition and gold with the Hungarian team.

In Sydney Mincza - Nébald 2000 passed after 1992, the second time in the Olympic Games in part. In 1992, she fought with the foil, epee 2000 with the team in fourth place when she missed winning a medal just barely. At the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing, the Hungarian started with a win over Chui Ling Yeung, then hit Sherraine Schalm and the favored Imke Duplitzer with 15-11. In the semifinals, however, the fencer defeated the later silver medalist Ana Maria branża with 14-15. The small final for bronze won Mincza - Nébald against Li Na of China with 15-11.
